No I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. Dane, kids, and I took a spontaneous trip to Hawaii with our friends Jamie, Tucker, and kids. (Thanks to Amy and Rob's timeshare). Going to Hawaii for me is a dream come true every-time. I always feel so grateful that I can go, and soak in the beauty. It's like a fix for me that I'm starting to have to have yearly. We go sometimes even if it's not practical in anyway. But we've never regretted it. When I go I don't feel like a tourist, yet I know I'm not a local. I told Dane it's my spiritual home where I feel I can easily connect with who I am. I feel like it's easy to focus on what is important in life. FAMILY, AND FAITH. It always makes me want to be a more simple person, and live off less. The northshore of Oahu is my favorite place on earth. I love standing on the temple grounds, and walking around the campus of BYU-H. Even though I know I will most likely never live in Hawaii again, I hope I can always go back often. It was Luke's first real exposure to sand and ocean. I thought he might be a little scared like my other kids were at that age, but boy was I wrong. He hit the ground running, right into the water. He then gave the sand a big hug, by laying on his tummy and putting his face down. He soon learned sand in the mouth is not a tasty treat. We had such a good time together as a family and hope that my Hawaii fix last for another couple years.
