I was sorting through some pictures and realized that I don't think I documented that Dane gave me this beautiful ring for Christmas this year. This opal belonged to Helen's (Dane's mum) father Dudley. He wore it throughout his simple life in Australia. When he died the ring became Helen's and a few years ago she gave it to Dane. It was in a masculine setting but still stunning. Dane and I kept the ring in a safe and I forgot about it until... Christmas morning I opened this amazing ring in a new setting. It is so sentimental and beautiful I love it. We thought it was a family treasure (money wise) until the jeweler told Dane the actual stone is worth about $20. Doesn't matter it me. I love it!

Love the family jewel. I love having something that means so much and has a history. It's a keeper.
What a beautiful ring! Happy anniversary too. It is amazing how fast the years go by! I remember your wedding like it was yesterday!
Ha, that's funny. 20 bucks. But it is beautiful.
