We have some new pets around here. My Mom gave us three of her sheep. I was excited and nervous about getting them knowing how much my Mom loved them. I took care of sheep when I was a kid, but It had been so long. My parents are preparing for a mission so this is part of the preparation. I know how hard it was for my Mom to give up her favorite hobby. I knew I liked sheep, but didn't know how much I would LOVE having them around. They are sweet as the sweetest puppy, and so lovable. But I like that they don't lick me or get under my feet. We all love going out and taking care of them. I plan on learning how to take the wool, and turning it into beautiful yarn, pillows, blankets, and whatever. (someday). I'm also excited for my children to experience the birthing process this spring. In Manti we can have animals in town. So they are in a little orchard up against the sidewalk. So I guess they are a new part of the neighborhood. So far no complaints.

Growing up on a sheep farm all I can say is good luck and have fun. You are a much better person than me. Had it been me they would have been in my freezer not my yard. lol
love ya,
Camille
Wow, cool! You're living out the dream just as you'd imagined! So now we'll have to come to the Thurston petting zoo and pet the sheep :-)
I hope you know that I LOVE where you live and what you guys are doing there! Making wonderful memories for your kids.
That's so fun. I love that they were your Mom's first. Have you named them yet?
How fun for the kiddos - we need to come visit and see them!
You are waaaay too cool! I have always wanted to have goats because I love goat milk. My kids wish they could come visit! :) And awesome that your parents are going on a mission.
Have you met Carol and Nathan Turnbow? They moved there from my ward in Moore, OK and he is a new Dentist. They are a really great family, so keep your eye out for them! :)
How fun! Ashlyn keeps saying that she wants to visit Lindsay. She was sad that we didn't go this summer. I guess we'll have to make a trip to your petting zoo!
