One of the happiest moments of my life!

The wait is over!!! Today I had my appointment with the specialist at Utah Valley hospital. I survived two weeks of waiting for this appointment. I really hoped to get answers. Two weeks of visualizing a cleft lip every-time I closed my eyes, and mentally preparing for a new territory of motherhood that I just didn't want. So I'll get right to the point! THE ULTRASOUND LOOKED TOTALLY NORMAL. NO CLEFT LIP, JUST A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE FACE!!! Dane and I were beaming with relief and joy. It seemed to good to be true. I had really come to terms in some ways of having a baby with a problem and going through surgery etc, etc. It is amazing the switch my brain did immediately. I started getting so excited to have a baby instead of scared. I was so scared of all the feeding problems and little kinks to work out right away. Now I can go back to thinking about having the baby close to home and everything being normal. I'm so happy. Both Grandmothers shed tears of happiness. I know our family would have been able to handle this trial and we would love this baby no matter what. I just feel grateful things are normal! I now will have so much more empathy for any mother going through similar experiences and hope to learn something from this . Thank you for all your concern and prayers.
